Day Two – 16 July – what to expect

Well real count down is on less than two weeks out from the pre congress workshops and the commencement of the 7th ICEI !!!….. Keynotes and speakers locked in, catering arranged, IT being prepared (!), last minute marketing proceeding, optimism rising and pessimism being controlled ! In this Blog/information I will briefly outline second and third day’s events.

The second day will commence with Carolyn MacCann, from School of Psychology, University Sydney present on theme “Emotional Intelligence from Individual and Organizational perspectives”. We when then move to morning tea punctuated with an interactive poster session held between 10.15-10.45…. come along and share with the posters!

We progress after morning tea to workshops/symposium/paper sessions…… much to choose from and become challenged and hopefully stimulated. The sessions cover various aspects fitting EI into the individual and organisational aspects of life. Useful to either look at the various research and empirical basis of EI (Symposium), or specific workshop experiential experiences or listing to how EI can fit the organizational setting (Papers)

We then move to lunch and the possibility of meeting the expert over lunch….. small numbers so you need to be quick to sign up and register…

Well we then move to the second day afternoon session….; It starts off with Neal Ashkanasy, from Management School, Queensland University speaking to the Congress theme of “Emotional Intelligence in the Professions”. We then move to afternoon tea and a series of interactive poster sessions. The days finishes with workshops and paper presentations covering many professional EI applications and relating to educational, business and psychological areas

There is more on Day 2…. The Congress dinner…. Christmas in July theme, music via Dom Zurzolo and Dr Carmen Lawrence, as Guest Speaker. Should be a great night….
