Call for Abstracts


The International Society for Emotional Intelligence invites researchers, scholars and professionals to present and discuss their work at the 7thInternational Congress on Emotional Intelligence. Participants may submit abstracts for the following presentation types: oral, posters, panels/symposia and workshops.

Oral Presentation

Papers that have been accepted for an oral presentation will be scheduled in groups of four presenters. Each presenter will have 15 minutes for their presentation. The presentations will be followed by 30 minutes for questions and discussion.

Rooms are equipped with a computer and multimedia projector. If additional equipment is needed, it must be previously requested and is subject to availability. Additional AV can be requested during the abstract submission process.

Poster Presentation

Posters will be displayed for the duration of the Congress in the venue. Up to five posters will be allocated to a poster session. Authors must be available to present their poster (five minutes) and take questions at the end of the session.

Accepted posters must be printed by the authors as an A1 portrait (width 594 mm x height 841 mm) document and brought to the Congress by the presenting author. A board will be provided, labelled with a poster number title and authors. Fixing material will be provided.

Presenting authors are encouraged to be next to their posters at Congress breaks.


A panel/symposium must comprise 4-5 presenters including one chairperson. The group must submit a proposal with the title of the panel/symposium and 4-5 abstracts (one per participant).


The purpose of a workshop is to share knowledge and experience or develop a specific skill in an interactive environment. The presenter must define the subject matter being covered, the desired outcome, and level of audience participation required. Time allowed is 1.5 hours.

All abstracts must be submitted electronically utilising the guidelines.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is by 4.00pm (AWST) on Friday 22 March 2019. Please plan your timetable preparation and submission carefully.
